Adobe Dreamweaver is a somewhat controversial piece of software. It is a visual web design tool, which means that it will help you generate much of the code needed for your website instead of you having to jot everything down yourself. The problem with visual software that many of the pros complained about was that the generated code was complicated, long-winded and not infrequently ineffective. In all truth, many of these complaints date back to an age in web design and in Dreamweaver’s evolution when the software was intended for non-pro users and when its use did tend to result in all sorts of complications and web design failures.
